DEVELOPMENT OF THAI READING COMPREHENSIONUSING THE PANORAMA WITH THE YOUTH LITERATUREBOOK FOR STUDENTS OF GRADE 5

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to design a learning management plan for reading comprehension, to study the outcome of the reading comprehension development, and to examine the student satisfaction towards the development of reading comprehension using Panorama teaching method together with youth- literature books for grade 5 students. The population included 112 grade 5 students who were studying in the second semester of the 2020 academic year at 9 schools of Payalithai School Network in Sisatchanalai District, Sukhothai Province. The sample, obtained by cluster random sampling, consisted of 11 grade 5 students of Banpraprang School, Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai Province. The research tools were a learning management plan evaluation form, tests, and a satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and T-test.

The results showed that the design of learning management in reading comprehension comprised of 4 plans taking 16 hours to study. The suitability of the learning management plans was at the highest level, and the efficiency was 83.63/89.00 which was higher than the 80/80 criteria. The students' average learning outcome in reading comprehension after studying was higher than the pre-test score at 0.01level of statistical significance. In addition, the student satisfaction was at a high level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อออกแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้การอ่าน จับใจความสำคัญ ศึกษาผลการพัฒนาการอ่านจับใจความสำคัญ และความพึงพอใจของนักเรียน ต่อการพัฒนาการอ่านจับใจความสำคัญ โดยใช้วิธีการสอนแบบพาโนรามาร่วมกับหนังสือวรรณกรรมเยาวชน สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ประชากร ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2563 กลุ่มโรงเรียนเครือข่ายพญาลิไท อำเภอศรีสัชนาลัย จังหวัดสุโขทัย 9 โรงเรียน จำนวน 112 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียน บ้านพระปรางค์ อำเภอศรีสัชนาลัย จังหวัดสุโขทัย จำนวน 11 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการสุ่มแบบแบ่งกลุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบประเมินแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ แบบทดสอบ และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบที

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การออกแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้การอ่านจับใจความสำคัญ ประกอบไปด้วยแผนจำนวน 4 แผน ใช้เวลาเรียน 16 ชั่วโมง ผลการประเมินความเหมาะสม ของแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด และมีประสิทธิภาพเท่ากับ 83.63/89.00 ซึ่งสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ 80/80 ผลการอ่านจับใจความสำคัญของนักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.01 และนักเรียนมีความพึงพอใจ อยู่ในระดับมาก
