A Traning Curriculum Development on Introduction to Korean Language

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop a training course, to investigate the effectiveness of a Basic Korean for Communication training course, and to examine user satisfaction of the training course. The population comprised 211 undergraduate students who enrolled in general education foreign language for communication courses, in the second semester of the academic year 2020. The study sample, selected through a purposive sampling technique, consisted of 50 undergraduate students who enrolled in Korean for Communication course. The research instruments were a training course and documentation for Basic Korean for Communication, an achievement test, a skills observation form, a desirable behavioral characteristics observation form, and satisfaction questionnaires. The statistical devices employed for data analysis were mean and standard deviation.

The results showed that the developed Basic Korean for Communication training course consisted of six learning units: Korean letters, greetings, days and times, figures and purchases, food and beverages, and hobbies. It was an 18-hour training session using listening and speaking methods. The training course was effective according to the given criteria in all aspects, including knowledge, process, desirable characteristics, and duration of training. In addition, the user satisfaction of the training course was at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรม ศึกษาประสิทธิผลของหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมภาษาเกาหลีเพื่อการสื่อสารเบื้องต้นและศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้หลักสูตรฝึกอบรม ประชากร ได้แก่ นักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏอุตรดิตถ์ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนวิชาศึกษาทั่วไป กลุ่มภาษาต่างประเทศเพื่อการสื่อสาร ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2563 จำนวน 211 คน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักศึกษาที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนวิชาภาษาเกาหลีเพื่อการสื่อสาร จำนวน 50 คน ได้มาจากการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ หลักสูตรฝึกอบรมและเอกสารประกอบหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมภาษาเกาหลีเพื่อการสื่อสารเบื้องต้น แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ แบบสังเกตทักษะ แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า หลักสูตรฝึกอบรมภาษาเกาหลีเพื่อการสื่อสารเบื้องต้นที่พัฒนาขึ้นประกอบด้วยหน่วยการเรียนรู้ 6 หน่วย คือ ตัวอักษรเกาหลี การทักทาย วันและเวลา ตัวเลขและการซื้อของ อาหารและเครื่องดื่ม และงานอดิเรก ระยะเวลาฝึกอบรม 18 ชั่วโมง ใช้วิธีการอบรมแบบฟัง-พูด หลักสูตรมีประสิทธิผลผ่านตามเกณฑ์ที่กำหนดทุกด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านความรู้ความเข้าใจ ด้านทักษะกระบวนการ ด้านคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ ด้านระยะเวลาของการเข้าฝึกอบรมและผู้ใช้มีความพึงพอใจต่อหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
